Sausage Stuffing

12 cups)
Ingredients
1
lb. Sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
1 package herbed stuffing mix
1/2 cup butter,
2 celery stalks, diced
1 medium onion, diced
Directions
Preheat
oven to 325 degrees.
In
a large skillet, brown sausage over medium heat; stir frequently
to break up sausage. With a slotted spoon, remove sausage
into a large bowl. Stir stuffing mix into sausage.
Place
butter in the skillet with the drippings and heat until
butter has melted. Add onions and celery; cook vegetables
until they are tender and golden. Add vegetables and 2.5
cups of water to sausage-stuffing mix. Mix well. Place stuffing
in a greased 13x9 baking pan; cover with foil and bake for
30 minutes until stuffing has heated through.
