  The Cookie Monster Says...

Here are some hints for bar cookies.
* If you are using a glass baking dish, reduce the oven temperature by 25 degrees.
* When you are greasing your baking dish, use shortening, nonstick vegetable spray, or unsalted butter. Salted butter or margarine can cause cookies to stick and over brown.
* When making a bar cookie, always line your baking dish with foil leaving an overhang on each end. Grease the foil like you would a regular pan. After the bars are baked and cooked you can lift the bars out by using the overhang of foil.
* Always let you bar cookies cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
