Broil With Lime Onions
Ingredients
2 red onion, peeled, very thinly sliced
1/4 cup lime juice
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 pound London broil, about 1 inch thick
1/4 cup fresh-ground black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon flour
Directions
In a small glass bowl, combine onions, lime juice and Tabasco;
cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Rub meat all over
with pepper and salt. Sprinkle half the flour on each side of
the meat. Sauté over high heat in a large sauté
pan, until well seared, 5 to 7 minutes on each side for rare.
Remove from heat and serve in thick slices, topped with generous
portion of the marinated onions.
