Boeuf
Bourguignon
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds boned chuck, cubed
2 onions, sliced
1 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped
1 cup red burgundy
1/2 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
In a deep
dish casserole, soak meat, wine and water covered overnight.
The next day add onions, sprinkle with flour, salt and pepper.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook meat for 2 to 3 hours
or until meat is tender. Add mushrooms 30 minutes before
serving. You may need to add a little water. This dish keeps
well.
