Bread Pudding
Ingredients
1/2 stick of butter
2 cups milk
1 quart cubed day old French bread
1/2 cup cubed pineapple
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine milk and butter in a saucepan
and heat until the butter is melted. In a large mixing bowl combine
bread, pineapple and raisins; add milk and butter. Mix and let
stand for several minutes to let the bread absorb the liquid.
Combine sugar, salt, cinnamon, and
nutmeg. Add beaten eggs and vanilla and mix well. Pour over bread
and milk mixture and stir until well mixed.
Pour into a well greased 1 1/2 quart
baking dish or a cast iron skillet and bake for 40 minutes. Serve
warm with whiskey sauce.

Ingredients
1/2 stick butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup bourbon
Directions
Cream butter and
powdered sugar together, and slowly beat in Bourbon.
