Chocolate
Butterscotch Bars
(makes 4 dozen bars)
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup creamy peanut butter
6 cups rice crispies
1 cup semi- sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
Directions
In a large sauce pan, combine sugar and corn syrup; bring just
to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat;
stir in peanut butter. Press cereal into a greased 13x9 baking
pan. Microwave chocolate and butterscotch chips in a medium microwave
safe bowl on high, for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional
10 to 20 second intervals, stirring until smooth. Spread melted
chips over cereal mixture. Chill for 20 minutes until firm. Cut
into bars.
