Ingredients
1 stick butter
1 pound brown sugar
2 eggs
3 squares bitter chocolate, melted
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups milk
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and
brown sugar. Add eggs; beat well. Stir in chocolate. Sift all
dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk beginning and ending
with the dry ingredients. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured
9 inch pans. Bake for 40 minutes or until tester comes out clean.
Frost if desired.
