Deep Fried Tofu
(serves 4)

Ingredients
12 ounce block of firm tofu
1/2 cup rice flour
2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 teaspoon cardamom
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 cup water
oil for deep frying

Directions
Drain tofu and cut into 1/2 inch thick slices. In a medium bowl, combine flour, coriander, cardamom, and garlic. Add water and stir until smooth.

In a pan, heat oil. Dip tofu slices in batter, coating thickly. Lower tofu into hot oil three at a time, and cook on medium heat for 1 minute on each side or until slices are crisp and golden brown. Drain slices on a paper towel. Repeat until all tofu slices are fried.
